He's received the approval of Lionheart then?

Despite the state of Italian football at the moment, to leave a club like AC Milan for a Mickey Mouse club like Chelsea really is a pathetic sign of the times. Of course it'll end in tears though.

£#%&!loads of cash being spent there this Summer, Madrid & Chelsea appear to be heading for a banging of skulls given the quotes attributed to Terry in this link.... here:

"I think we'll see Chelsea back and competing for the top players who are out there at the moment. The likes of Ribéry, David Villa."When it comes to Villa, Valencia are struggling for money and there's been a lot of talk about Ribéry. When big players like them become available, we need to show people that, yes, Chelsea are back and competing for players with that kind of price tag, the best out there. There needs to be a couple of changes, a few players brought in and a few who haven't played in the last couple of years moved on. But the backbone of the team needs to stay as it is. We have to keep hold of lads like Didier Drogba and Joe Cole who are up for contract talks."

Good appointment I reckon.

The english media have made thei mind up on him from what they've seen in the champions league.

But for the most part he did a good job @ milan with not a lot of funds, especially towards the end of his tenure.

By Nadia Carminati Last updated: 1st June 2009

The Brazilian, a former World Cup winner who spent time at the San Siro as a player, has no managerial experience.

Seems to be a bit of a trend... you could get a Klinnsman / van Basten or you could get a Guardiola...

I'd of thought they might have gone for Rijkaard myself.

Leonardo was the best summariser and "technical expert" the BBC ever had when he did the World Cup a few years ago. Has a better grasp of the English language than Ian Wright, made Hansen look like a schoolboy who only knew how to play rush goalies, and ignored Lawrenson for the @#%&! he is.

Top Rossonieri.

(Leonardo was already working for Meelan as a technical consultant, so it easy for them to bring him in as manager).
