That was in the final days of Big Ron - Charlton were newly promoted and IIRC had lost every game up till then. The booing at the end was supposedly epic

I don't think they ever won against us in the PL, though?

Think it was '90 wasnt it?

Berts playing Palace just before we played the cup final.

Bit of a love in going on a both grounds, Charlton wanted United to beat Palace and city wanted Palace to beat us.

Dont recall any booing

Edit: no booing because we won.

There's a documentary on here now called Making Midtjiland and tbf all the players and staff seem like a right bunch of sanctimonious, smug @#%&!s. Hope we £#%&!ing smash them.

Nope, I am definitely referring to early on in the 1986/87 season - we had a dreadful start which got Racist Ron tin tacked.

You are talking about the end of that (1989/90) season, Charlton's last game in the top flight for a while. As you say, nobody then gave a stuff
