Don’t think so.

It was something I wondered but pretty sure it isn’t said why they picked them.

They grazed it in the first couple, I think it was pretty arbitrary, they asked Hew to find a club they could buy, Wrexham was obtainable and they liked the history and the notion of it being the oldest club and on hard times, plenty of scope for improvement.

Awful bastard but they are desperate for a keeper. Any time their number 1, Lainton, gets injured, they have nothing but clowns dropping howlers every game. He's out for at least 6 weeks now so needs must.
