He's very good and was starting for them regularly wasn't he? Not bad for such a young player in the PL. Would be happy with him, but still think Rice is one we should be going for too.

West Ham made us look like idiots early last season and IIRC he was a major part of it.

People are very quick to call them shit but they played more attractive football than us last season far more consistently. If they make the right signings they'll be top 8 next season, but hopefully we sign Diop and that doesn't happen.

Whatever about being interested in Diop, there’s a consistent pattern of Woodward going in with lower than the asking price offers. You don’t see City or Liverpool doing that. If they want a player (it seems) they find out how much he’d actually cost and either they pay it or they don’t bid for him.
