Best team in the main but our lack of chances is concerning against a team like city, who are capable of scoring at any time.

We've also defended very well. Had good possession in the middle

Rooney is an issue. We need a killer pass and you hope that Schweiny will make it but is anyone making the runs?

Typical cagey big game.

City have set up really strongly and are a different side to the one that folded so meekly last year.

But we've kept put shape well. everyone is switched on with their big game head on. we just need more from Herrera, Mata and Rooney.

we're really missing a trick by not having martial right up top on Kompany.

State of Rooney. He better £#%&!ing score.

Relatively happy with that. Mata has been a bit useless. Herrera makes all the difference to our setup even if he's not playing that well.

Would bring Depay on. Feels like this game will be won by a touch of class either way, and can see him getting some joy cutting in off the left. They've panicked every time martial has done it, but when he's come in there's been nothing really on.

Good first half all in all. Was obviously going to be a very tight game, but we've looked solid and our fullbacks have done a good job of keeping Sterling and De Bruyne relatively quiet. Need to offer a bit more going forward in the 2nd half obviously, but Martial looks lively - could easily nick a goal.

Seriously don't know what game some of you have been watching

The difference between the sides so far is City's attack looks some what threatening while our "attack" has no threat what so ever

Get Martial off the wing and put him up front
His movement out wide isn't great and he gets no support from Rojo

Rooney utter shite once again
He's no threat to City and everyone on the pitch knows it
We've been getting away with it but if we want to win this game then he has to be subbed for either Memphis or Lingard and get Martial up top

Worry about Jones. Looks in the mood to drop a major %@#$&! today

We are just the wrong side of the bold vs safe line. Rojo and Martial are the only ones prepared to take a chance and conversely the only ones making anything happen. Rojo mom first half.

Did we even have a shot? Can't remember one.

Played ok I suppose but we need to get Martial into the game more.

Rooney looks a bit improved but that's not saying much.

Valencia is doing a very good job of pushing up, he's kept Sterling very quiet. He just needs to do a bit more on the ball. Rojo started poorly but is doing a job on De Bruyne.

City have been very impressive at the back, not sure we're going to break them down.

Need more from Herrera and Mata if we are to win in this set up. Unsurprisingly in the holding mids fest this game is, both have been very quiet.

Maybe take one of them off for Memph...

Not a single attempt on goal First time ever.

Typical of our season, attacking stats are pretty awful.

this. every day.

however, it is more likely to matter if we don't score. just need a bit of composure in the final third. jones can £#%&! up when it's 3-0.

yep. I actually think rooney has looked a little more assured on the ball and at least had a better intensity. ....but he's not providing a threat and Kompany will be happy facing him up. if martial was up there, Kompany would shit himself.

Apart from him, there's not enough from anywhere else.

city will be happy with the individual match ups and, as someone else said, could spring and score at any point.

We're the better side, which usually is a bad sign

Clattenburg is awful. Amazed he's held up as the best ref in the country Cynical @#%&!s are City. Jones is the biggest worry for me.

Last season was riddled with 1 or no shots on goal in first halves tbf. Part of the process.

Difficult to see what's actually happening in the game when you've got Rooney cam on permanently,
