it indicates that fergie was scared to lose by taking the risk that would allow him to win. the cl final team selection was negative, introverted, timid and took away any chance united had of winning (and certainly any of winning in style).

David May cost 1.2m GBP and was a perfectly good back up at CB/RB for 9 years.
