Football Tonght's football 5/1/23

Big game at the Bridge tonight. Chelsea vs City.

Should be a good 'un.

Been offered a freemans so will do my best to tap up Big Erling for a summer move...

Probably could do with City smashing Chelsea tonight
They'd be 10 points off us then having played the same amount of games

Would surely be one less team to deal with for the top 4 hunt

ETH getting top 4 this season would be huge
A big defeat tonight would kill off Chelsea and with Liverpool teethering on the brink of falling out of the top 4 race that would only leave Spurs realistically who could catch us

As for some unlikely title tilt, a City win would be good because it would keep the pressure on Arsenal at the top
I wouldn't want Arsenal getting too far ahead and feeling comfortable
They showed against Newcastle that if you apply pressure to them they'll crack

But if Chelsea win, we are one point behind city and nine behind arsenal. Still close enough for title challenge (I know we aren’t good enough but I always have hope we do the very best)

Chelsea are out of top 4, they look disjointed. Signing 3-4-5players in January won’t necessarily help their cause as you need to gel them into the team. Not worried about Chelsea, a Chelsea win and we could see the next pep meltdown.

“Could probably do with City smashing Chelsea” is one of the most bizarre things I’ve read on here ffs.

If Chelsea were right on our arse or looking half decent, then I’d understand it being more important for us…. But hoping City win just in case Chelsea get their shit together at some point?

Nah!

City are in big big trouble if they lose this….so let’s £#%&!ing go! Feelin’ Renty*

*wait a sec…

Heard Potter being interviewed earlier today. Not good. Sounded heavily beaten already.

Hope they win, but I think they’ll get hammered.

The kind of game Chelsea will probably win. Few goals in it too.

A Chelsea win in controversial circumstances would be good to see. Pep to explode, city to implode ... and a straight red for that Norwegian freak to put him out of the derby.

Could do with a Chelsea win. But they’re shit this season so I reckon the mutant will run in a few.
