I met the king last Thursday in a steak restaurant in Covent Garden. He was exactly as you’d hope. Almost Regal. He was in the bar with his brothers, so I apologised profusely for interrupting a family get together but I couldn’t not tell him what he meant. Think Joel liked that I recognised him from watching the beach football on C4 post retirement.

I’ve never been so nervous approaching anybody ever.

Watched him recently in Inhuman Resources on Netflix. He was great, can genuinely act.
