maybe he wants the team to join in with Ronaldo rather than just watch him all the time. maybe he needs Ronaldo to understand better how everyone moves in a mourinho team and thinks he can grasp it better from there. anyway, makes perfect sense that you need all the parts to work so that Ronaldo on blob is an unstoppable bonus. good job i know what i mean really...

Ronaldo played up top on his own away at Roma when we won 2-0. We had good movement and players who joined in. That's why he could come from deep to score the header.

Didn't see the game, but if true that's very surprising. Not just because Benzema and Higuain are more suited to that role, but Mourinho has actually gone public in saying that he feels Ronaldo is wasted as a central forward player. Perhaps he's trying to force the point about the squad lacking the centre forward he wanted but didn't get in the summer, or maybe with the team struggling for goals he trusts Ronaldo's finishing more than Benzema or Higuain at the moment.

Incidentally, that Douglas Costa who we were following was excellent last night. Looks a real talent.
