Real are away, probably haven't got loads of fans there.

Watching Real and you can see why Ronaldo is struggling this season, if this is representative of their play so far. Central striker, back to goal a lot of the time, 3 defensive midfielder in Lassana Diarra, Khedira and Alonso in the team, Benzema and Higuain wide. Bar Alonso not much creative passing and midfield rarely breaking out of their shape.

They have controlled the game for the most part, but quite conservative despite that.

Arse got a bullshit penalty and missed it. Red card for the Partizan defender as well.

They have looked far better with Di Maria and Ozil on, playing between the lines a lot more, much more creative around the edge of the box.

Mourinho played 3 out and out striker a lot of time last year in Milito, Pandev and Etoo, tried to replicate a bit of that tonight, but Ronaldo as the targetman is an odd one for me, always at his best when he can turn and move with the ball into shooting positions from deeper areas
