Bit difficult to choose a defender in a quarter where we’ve conceded 16 goals in 11 games. Erikssen for me, oozes class and completely transform the way we move the ball forward.

Casemiro was close with his two good games.

Runner up Eriksen. Other than the derby debacle he makes us look so much more competent.

Martinez has been very, very good. He has also conceded 13 goals without Varane on the pitch versus 4 goals with Varane. 1 clean sheet without Varane, which was Omonia at home. Around 5 games worth of minutes without Varane.

Last season the side lost 2 of 15 league games Varane played and conceded 0.87 goals a game with him on the pitch versus 1.5 goals a game overall average.

Varane hopefully comes back quickly; will be interesting to see if there is any contrast while he is out.
