I agree with you about the hospitality packages at OT. Can´t beat a tatty pie and a Bovril on the concourse. Then stick a combo on with the in stadia bookie. All part of the match day enjoyment. By the way, Match of the Day back then - they would only show a couple of games on Saturday night but would never announce which games until tea time on a Saturday. You only knew if United was on if you went to the game and saw the outside broadcast vans parked up at the top end of south stand. Alan Weeks, back then, was one of the regular commentators. I’ve only been ‘corporately entertained’ once at a football match that I can remember. Fulham away in 2008 and it was great fun; got really pissed, ate copious amounts of food and watched United win.
Had to get public transport to the ground though which was quite revolting, I should have demanded a limo but you live and learn. |
