Why are we even contemplating spending 80m on this @#%&! like he’s the only CB in the world

I’d rather give Tuanzebe a season or even Smalling. Is he that much better than Smalling seriously?

Yes, yes he is. Smalling can't pass a £#%&!ing ball. He makes my face itch every time I see him swivel around and make a 5 yard pass look hard. Shit mincing bastard (Smalling, not you).

He's above Smalling and Jones in the England National team, and our recruitment team seem to agree. He is better, but the £80 million pound question is, how much better is he?

Better passer, yes.

Not much else. Honestly.

We hate our defenders because they breed contempt, but Smalling is often our most solid defender in a terrible side.

And plays for United. Constantly under the microscope. Completely different to playing for Leicester where nobody gives two shits.

Most of Maguire's cheerleaders use his passing and 'premier league experience' as a selling point.

Is that it? Is that what we're paying 80m for?

What does he do well?

Passing. Ok.
Solid in the air. Ok. So is Smalling.

Is he quicker, stronger, better reader of the game. Doubtful.

He's maybe a bit better than Smalling.

If he comes and steps it up then fair enough, but this guy has done the square root of £#%&! all to deserve these plaudits in teams that consistently concede goals.

He's a myth.

What's he done?

Decent world cup. So did lingard.

Since looked dodgy for England and Leicester.

Good season for Hull (Big Whoop) and then a good season for Leicester.

Its hardly stellar stuff.

Suddenly it's a joke to suggest he might not be that much better than a United defender with 8 years experience at the club and numerous medals.

Some of the teams United conceded more goals than last season:

Arsenal
Wolves
Everton
Leicester
West Ham
Palace
Newcastle

In fact the only team that conceded more goals than United in the top 13 places.. was Watford.
