Have to think that one of Smalling and Jones will go late in the transfer window. Keep them for insurance now and look to fleece a panicking club close to the start of the season. Need to create space for Tuanzebe, TFM may be doomed to loans for the foreseeable future.

None of the Utd defenders are w***, they are all good players who take turns in the scapegoat role and have different strengths and weaknesses. If Smalling and Jones are a clubs 5th/6th choice at CB it is hardly a problem area.
