I like him a lot, but we need lots of players, despite the chattering in other threads there are strict budgets to work to, and we don’t have many other saleable assets.

Plus, do we want to be dishing out £500k a week contracts?

Tempted to sell him, £#%&! Pogba off and start weeding out the high earners.

our biggest issue is the players we've bought. he's the best one recently, so getting rid of him would seem rather stupid.

Can't blame him, it's not like he's not the one player in the team that probably deserves to be paid the most.

Must be a kick in the balls contibuting what he has, and putting in the effort he does then seeing players like Pogba, Sancho, Cavani, Martial, Rashford and Maguire earn more.

According to this he only earns 20k per week more than Mata

Selling our best player is not a good idea IMO. Relative to others in the squad, he isn't a high earner so it doesn't make any sense at all. United are in a good position, he's got four and a half years left and a contract until he's 31. The ball is in the club's court.

No disrespect, but this is one of the worst suggestions I've ever heard. The idea we'd cash in on our only good signing of the last 8 years and use the money wisely to improve the squad is insane.

If the alternative is doubling his wage and giving him a deal until he’s 32-33?

Fair play to him. We have no ambition here and always dither. He could move to a team that wants to win and earn twice as much why not?

ESP when he sees who he has to play with and their lack of ambition and attitude.

Welcome aboard the ‘let’s go down’ train dunk.

Obvs bat shit mental idea if you don’t want to crash and burn? Please confirm.

Go down, glazers forced to sell to the red knights, scorched Earth, Phoenix from the flames.

Crash and burn seems the only option tbf.

Best way to properly crash and burn is to give the current, underperforming, players ridiculous, long contracts though, based on Leeds.

The wage structure is the worst in Europe by some considerable distance. If something drastic needs to happen, like a Bruno leaving, then so be it. It's unsustainable and will collapse sooner rather than later.

Indeed. Oh how we laughed when the Dippers lost Torres, their best player.. then Suarez, their best player and then Coutinho….

Problems here being there’s no one thick enough to drop £100m+ on Bruno, and if someone did we’d probably buy the players Chelsea don’t want anymore
