Another season.

The same old rant.

Scholes in midfield.

Not good.

Scholes looks rusty. One of the left backs has to come off soon. That a ridiculous thing to have to say.

Default it's not scholes in midfield

causing the problem.

on a day like this, we can afford scholes.

what we cannot afford is to have players carring the ball forward into dangerous positions who are not gifted at dribbling, crossing or shooting. we have so many players who can do that and it's not like we need defenders.

without rooney in the second half, we're probably going to struggle.

no obvious need to buy a striker over the summer, though. none of us suggested it.

Well, in fairness, that's all four of our first choice strikers unavailable.

I just think that it would have been worth having a kid up there who's actually a striker, such as Campbell. Than what we got.

I stick to my comment that we won't see the best of this Utd team going forward until we've Hargreaves and Carrick together.

We can't maintain pressure like we should be able to with Scholes there.

Default in fairness

we didn't have any strikers available.

however, we did have three wingers available and none of them played on the wing.

forget this obsession with scholes ruining everything. we kept the pressure up. we had 75% £#%&!ing possession and all in their half. we didnt have anyone to aim at.

The problem with Scholes is that he never seems to take a shot on these days. Hes always looking for the one-two on the edge of the box. Very frustrating.

Default he had

a couple of shots I wish he hadn't.

the main problem is we were set up far too defensively to play a team who came for a draw. and we didn't have the muscle up front you need when playing a packed defence or the width and ability to beat a man that wingers provide. our players who can beat a man were cutting in and trying to take on the whole defence.

Haven't seen a mention of Reading's tactics amongst the doom on here today really. Dissappointed in Coppell..yes his team got a point, but Jesus Christ, I thought Reading actually played football. It was like a cup tie against a League 1 team.

The one missing ingrediant is Louis Saha.

People forget just how influential he was regarding the way we played for most of last season. When he's fit i can't think of any other striker in the prem who id rather have leading the line for us than Saha.

We just need to get him fit and keep him fit.

which we all know, but realistically all know it's never going to happen. £#%&! me he's had about 4 months off and still can't get himself fit.

he 'won't feel right' after two games
