What should be done with incomplete seasons? No winners and no relegations. so yes, they should learn the lession of 1939-40 season. I for one hope we see plennty of lawsuit in across leagues in incompleted seasons were they declare a winner and relegations. Only correct course of actions are no winneers and noone gets relegated.

But only a few games had been played then as opposed to around two thirds of the season now. In principle that shouldn't make any difference, but it reality it surely will.

No, that will not matter. The number of games is irrelevant.

It's all about 1 thing & 1 thing only. Money. There are millions & millions at stake & everyone stands to lose out.

Email from United

Quote:
Dear Earsy,

While the Premier League and other football authorities have yet to finalise the arrangements to resume season 2019/20, following the publication of the UK Government’s recovery strategy on 11 May, it is now widely accepted that any matches that may take place will only do so behind closed doors.

We share your disappointment that you will not be able to watch United in person from within the stadium, but we would encourage you to give your continued loyal support from the comfort and safety of your home. To help with that, the Premier League and their media partners will work to deliver the very best broadcast coverage of our games.

We also ask for your co-operation not to travel to any stadiums at which we are playing on matchdays. By supporting from home and following government guidance, you will be playing your part to keep your friends, your family and all United fans safe. This united effort to stay at home will give us the best chance of protecting the health of everyone in our community.

We are committed to refunding ticket costs for these games and want to make the process as easy as possible for all supporters. As you have not yet renewed your Season Ticket for the 2020/21 season, we will reduce the cost of your 2020/21 Season Ticket by the value of the four games missed. This means your Season Ticket will be priced at £. The amendment may take up to 14 days to action and we will send confirmation when this is complete. Please bear with us during this time.

Please note, UEFA have not yet advised whether or not our home game against LASK in the Europa League will still go ahead. However, if you have purchased a ticket for this game and the game is cancelled or played behind closed doors, we will automatically refund the card used to pay for your match ticket(s).

Following our initial communication outlining our refund policy, we have received a number of requests to donate supporter refunds to the Manchester United Foundation. We are unable to action these directly however, if you would like to find out more about the Manchester United Foundation and make a donation, please click here.

We are yet to receive confirmation regarding when the 2020/21 season will commence. Once there is more certainty around next season’s fixture schedule, we will be back in touch to provide further information and confirm the Season Ticket renewal deadline.
they were unable to tell me how much my season ticket will be reduced by its (£152 quid )
they didnt offer to refund games this missed this season and pay full price for my renewal
they are keeping money for the LASK game using UEFA as an excuse

United can go £#%&! themselves

This from united with a nice refund:

Client Ref #

Dear Hyman Roth (pronounced Warth),

While the Premier League and other football authorities have yet to finalise the arrangements to resume season 2019/20, following the publication of the UK Government’s recovery strategy on 11 May, it is now widely accepted that any matches that may take place will only do so behind closed doors.

As you do not have a renewal available for the 2020/21 season, we will automatically issue a pro-rata refund to the card registered on your account for cup match tickets. To update your payment card please click here before 6pm Wednesday 20th May.

Your refund of £1.4m for the four games missed will be processed in the next 14 days, therefore please bear with us during this time. Whilst the refund process is in progress you may notice a £0.01 holding charge on your account. This is just so we can verify your card for the refund due, and will not be taken from your account. If for any reason we’re unable to issue the refund, we will be in touch with you as soon as possible. With this in mind, please make sure your contact details are up to date by visiting www.manutd.com/myaccount.

Following our initial communication outlining our refund policy, we have received a number of requests to donate supporter refunds to the Manchester United Foundation. We are unable to action these directly however, if you would like to find out more about the Manchester United Foundation and make a donation, please click here.

However, if you have purchased a ticket for this game and the game is cancelled or played behind closed doors, we will automatically refund the card used to pay for your match ticket(s).

We hope you and your loved ones are keeping well. Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to welcoming you back to Old Trafford when it is safe to do so.

Regards
