Clearly Fergie's decision.

Hopefully goes better than his last one

Fingers crossed for the lad. If we go on a 10 game losing streak it could all end horribly.

All the best Ole lad.

We won't. The worst sides in PL history don't even do that.

Can it end horribly? Nobody has any real expectations. He'll be going in the summer no matter what.

Hopefully he makes it fun again. If nothing else, we'll get to laugh at shorts.

If he plays 4-3-3 with Lukaku at the top and Fellaini behind him and we lose all 10?

Exactly.

What is 'go wrong'? It's going horribly wrong now. And in a miserable soul-sucking way. To the point where people hate our manager. Nobody will hate Ole. He will give his all for six months and everyone will be rooting for him and excited to see what he does.

Under Jose we would win nothing, lose to PSG and finish outside the top four. The worst that can happen will be that.

Then he'll still be gone at the end of the season.

An interim manager allows the club to restructure.

Ole & Shorts

Looking forward to a match for the first time in months

Don't be surprised if he sticks with Lukaku and Matic...at least initially as he'll want to get the senior players onside

Weeks ago, most of us were saying

'Get rid of Jose. Get a caretaker in and start again'

This is what we're doing.

Whether Ole specifically is the right guy, the idea is right.

I honestly believe the most important thing right now is simply lifting the mood at the club.

There hasn't been any joy in this side since Fergie left.

“Manchester United is in my heart and it’s brilliant to be coming back in this role. I’m really looking forward to working with the very talented squad we have, the staff and everyone at the club,” said Solskjær.

Ed Woodward, Executive Vice Chairman, comments: “Ole is a club legend with huge experience, both on the pitch and in coaching roles. His history at Manchester United means he lives and breathes the culture here and everyone at the club is delighted to have him and Mike Phelan back. We are confident they will unite the players and the fans as we head into the second half of the season.”

“Unite the players” it was clearly a coup again. Exactly what happened at Chelsea
