Misread that as "pasties" for some reason, wondered if it was tied in with one of our business partners or something

Do you really fancy taking on Saffers role? A dreadful choice

it's obvious I bet we run a lot more after we concede an early goal too.

I know a lot of people, especially the older generation, don't like modern stats but I recall last season the xG tables had two teams notably outperforming their expected results - United and Burnley. Both teams have fallen off this season. Pleased for the xG lads tbh.

Hard to know the exact point where we just fell away.. it just seems that since that 2013 season we've really really struggled to score goals.

The defence has been awful, then good, then very good, decent and now again it's awful.

The one consistent thing in the 5 seasons since fergie retired is our struggle to score goals. Somewhere along the line since he left, we forgot how to score goals.

The performance level and the pattern of play had deteriorated before Fergie left. Which is why the media kept telling us we were the worst United team to win a league title etc. Even in Fergie's last season we won games on moments of brilliance, assisted by a wealth of experience and leadership in defence and in the dressing room. The general quality of our play wasn't high and we were poor to watch.

Was always going to be a huge task to revamp it all when the quality and experience disappeared. Just spending money isn't the answer. It takes time and a thought process to rebuild a club to compete at the level we want. We've shown neither the brains or the patience.

This

Most think it was Moyes and woody the just turned us shit overnight but the exact point was when the glazers took over and loaded the club with debt and over the following years we sold ronaldo and should have used the 80 million plus say another 20 of the clubs money to buy at least 3 top players which where about 30-40 million at the time but instead we went for an over the hill Michael Owen and 2 average players (Tony v and oblong head)

We also let the midfeild age and not only did we not replace them with top players we got scholes out of retirement and played a near 40 year old winger in centre midfeild on top

Then we started signing players like Ashley Young, phill Jones etc.(no value in the market)

So with the midfeild still not sorted a few years later the defence started to age but(again)instead of top replacements we now use old average wingers at full backs have calamity injury prone CBs

On top of all that we have a bean counter making footballing decisions who has hired one average manager on a 6 year contract only to fire him in less than one and two more well past their sell by date

meanwhile city recruited a board of footballing brains and where stockpiling top players, investing in infastructure and setting the club up to hire one of the worlds most sought after managers.

It's no wonder they brushed us aside last week and had better quaility all over the pitch,on the bench(including the manager) and in the boardroom.

Simply put
