Does it not lose its value if it becomes much easier to generate?

If computing advances and we can mine Bitcoin at a fraction of the time and cost then itís surely worthless?

Nope, it automatically becomes more difficult to mine. It's amazing tech.

Not so much the NSA finding the Bitcoin, but that they possibly used (unconfirmed), or will in the future be able to use, quantum computing to break the key cryptography.

The article suggests it could go either way. Will be interesting to watch.
The current theory is that the hackers hardcoded their private key into software they used to do the hack, so a lot easier for the feds to find than some of the theories being floated.

maybe being put forward by the cia to fool idiots.

For a start what would be the point in sharing the private key in any way?

there's still a limited amount that can be mined.

I mean... personally, I don't see how that helps, when there are other cryptos, but still...
