Job done, which was what was required.

Can't really complain, though some are still managing to do so

Some good performances, some bad. Rashford missed 3 then scored a worldly!. Marinez and Cas ran the show, sadly he will be a big loss. The team`s looking leggy and not as sharp as they were a few weeks back. Fulham will be a big test on Sunday

That’ll do nicely. 2 wins a draw since THAT game. Very good response.

One last effort then, and at least some of our players can finally get a rest

Hope Sabitzer plays on Sunday, he is 100 times better than the unflushables Fred and jock.

Hmm. Much the same at old Trafford, Betis run out of steam in the last 20.

We still did our best to hand them a lifeline in the tie through our own sloppiness.

This current trend of letting games develop into basketball- like, end-to-end slugfests like we've done against Liverpool, Southampton and on both occasions against Betis isn't going to win you any significant trophies against proper sides. There are teams left in this competition who will punish us if we continue to be so easy to counter attack.

We are really going to struggle without Casemiro in midfield now to babysit that utter clown Fred. You're going to be able to drive a £#%&!ing oil tanker through the gaps in our midfield with that headless chicken running about.

Thankfully, we won’t have to face anyone in this competition without Casemiro.

He’s a massive loss, but we’ve missed him before and coped quite well. Just got to grind a few results out until we can get one or two back. Hopefully Eriksen isn’t too far away and maybe Martial could do us the honour of making an appearance or two before he retires.

First 20. And sure our goal totally killed them, but it was coming.

Betis hardly had chance after chance tonight, they had a couple of Hail Marys in the first half - Ayoze should have scored but then his goal at OT never should have stood - but once Cas started putting his foot on the ball they had nothing.

Not saying it was a perfect performance, but we were significantly the better team, it wasn't the chaos you're painting it as from about the 15th minute.

Losing Cas for the league games is a @#%&! all right.

This. We won 5-1 and it didn’t flatter us. Betis had a couple of swings over the two legs but were never really in it and were totally outclassed. Considering they’re currently 5th in la liga, it was very comfortable.

5 tonight wouldn't have flattered us either. but we need a proper midfield or we will always be susceptible to the counter. that or find a young paul mcgrath.

We've needed a proper midfield since... we last had one. Which was, I dunno, 2004?

I’m basing it off the last 5 games we’ve played tbh. We give teams far too much of a punchers chance.

It's half the fun tbf. Better that than the sterile shit City serve up.

We're good when we're in the lead. Chasing a game we're incredibly vulnerable. We start games badly too.
