You can almost predict what any West African midfielder will be like these days. Not a playmaker, but often not a holding player either. Major emphasis on athleticism and covering lots of ground.

It's clearly become central to their values in terms of producing players for export to Europe. Similar thing for the attacking players.

I think I remember him. They played Arsenal in a Champions League qualifier and managed somehow to out-bottle Arsenal, the @#%&!s. He missed an absolute sitter too.

This.

He made the odd tackle, like Carrick. He did a bit of harrying, like Park. He managed a little defender bamboozle, like Giggs. He passed the ball to feet and had the audacity to have a crack at goal!

At least he's not a winger.
