i know i thought he was going to retire at the end of last season - there seemed to be an indecent haste to get him to Sir Bob's record,very late sub appearances, the re count on Sir Bobs appearance record and then with the goal at wigan and our last pen in the CL final it almost seemed like the perfect stage to bow out.
