Full on doom but it’s an indication of absolutely zero. We’ve just about beat the bottom four teams in the league and been beaten comfortably by the top three. If we play anything like we’ve done in the last two games in the next five we won’t get a point.

We just need to pray something clicks soon but based on today it doesn’t seem likely.

We were the only side to win all 5 games at the end of the last league campaign as well.

Stats, you can prove anything with them

No idea if the 2 Maguire penalty calls were or not, didn't see one replay of either on the channel I was watching?

don't be daft mate, they only scrutinise it when it's against us.

we it replayed from 10 angles with added gary neville "oooooooorrrhghhhh" over the top for extra gravitas.

"was maguire pulled down there"

"who cares, lets all move on"

As shit as we were, Garnacho, Hjolund and Rashford squandered massive chances. The most clear cut we’ve had in a while. They need to spend two weeks working on one touch finishing and get Mainoo, Shaw and AWB back fit.

Getting martinez back is important too. Think we have lacked a left footed CB who can pass ..

Realistically there are about 3-4 players who need to come back and slot straight into the team.

Then the likes of Mainoo, maybe give diallo a chance on the right seeing as nobody really wants it right now would be great

Newcastle - fantastic season, great manager, great players.

United - terrible season, shit manager, shit players.

We're above them.

All relative though. Us and Newcastle aren’t on the same elemental chart as clubs nor are we re expectations.

Their investment has levelled the field in terms of expectation tbh and we have toiled for every one of our points in the prem.

1-0 wins against

Wolves
Burnley
Fulham
Luton

scrape throughs against Brentford and Forest and losses to anybody ‘decent’

Spurs, arsenal, city, Brighton and Palace

Written down it’s pretty putrid. The injuries are a big factor but you worry the next time anyone half decent rolls round again.

In Dec we have Newcastle, Chelsea, Villa, Liverpool and West Ham. No players back and still no goals being scored, we could lose all those.

Agree with all of that.

Form team in the league is a reach when you look at who we’ve played and how we’re playing.

Who says they're having a good session? Trippier had an argument with fans in the stand who weren't happy with the performance.

They've been shit this year and I've not heard anyone say otherwise.

It’s another example of an argument that no-one is having to somehow justify why we’re playing shit.

Newcastle were a mid table team at best two seasons so I’d say they’ve improved and that’s why they’re not happy with performances.

%@#$&!s. People were £#%&! about Newcastle a few weeks ago when they beat us.

It was all “well run-club” “proper team” “players actually playing for their manager” etc.
