Of our ten outfield players on Saturday, given the choice ETH wouldn’t have picked them. They are back-ups to those he would have preferred. One of the others was only starting his second game with us, playing in a disrupted, disjointed team. That left us with 4 of our first team from last season, one of whom is still trying to get drill match fitness after a bad injury.
To have a go at the manager, based on the above, and the fact that his hands were tied on the quality of player he could bring in during the summer because of FFP, is dishonest. When the previous one left, there wasn’t a single person who didn’t agree that the following needed addressing majorly and urgently The owners The quality of the team Quality of the squad The cultural mindset Basically, the foundations on which success can be built ALL needed replaced/repaired. ETH is doing that, but it isn’t an overnight fix.he needs the time, space, support and a bit of good luck with injuries and on-field decisions to do what needs to be done. The club he inherited was a mess. A complete shambles. You can either take the short period of pain that comes with what we are going through at the minute, and enjoy the longer term rewards of a club built for success, or you can sit quietly each weekend hoping we lose so you can come on here and pretend you’re some kind of football sage, when you’re anything but. Choose wisely. |

McTominay had 15 touches in 84 mins. Absolute fraud of a player. |

The biggest issue for me is how mentally weak we still are. How little fight there is. It was a bit tools down on Saturday - like they were resigned to lose because they’re soft @#%&!s if it doesn’t go their way.
That wasn’t the case against arsenal and pre March last season. That’s the bit that needs addressing. I just hope Sancho isn’t being as bold as he is due to wider dressing room disquiet. Anyway, it’s the manager all the way for me if that’s the case. I £#%&!ing detest footballers these days. |
