Yeah, like the first one? This one's supposed to be better. Shouldn't have killed yer man off in the first one, he was good.

Not bad, a bit americanised but historically fairly accurate and reasonable representation of life in roman times ( I was there you know).

Wasn't it? I watched the pilot on tv3. I should have known if tv3 had it, it would be shite.

The Shield is excempt from this rule.

I got completely pissedoff with the first one, it was like watching a cheap version of that shitty Caligula film by the end. Totally overacted.

First episode of Season 2 wasn't bad.
Still abit overacted though, but who are you to say they weren't like that in those times?

Those to closet gays, you know one's wife died, are just annoying. The rest of it wasn't bad.

Too much mincing about for my tastes. Not keen on that #@&%!head actor from Trainspotting either.

The bloke who got his head *ahemed* at the end had the single most annoying accent I've heard this week. Mixture of Scotch, #@&%!nee and Theatrical Roman.

Oh and the way they shoe-horned the current immigration debate into it was horribly heavy handed.

They should have just let HBO do it on it's own. The BBC has no place in drama.

i actually think the best period in roman history is still to come (in terms of the show, smartarses), but alas, no third series

also found out the other day that pullo and verinus were real people, both mentioned in ceasers diaries
