I can't remember which player said it but when we were taken to a title race on the last day a few times but were top of the league going into it Ferguson's message to the players was to always assume the other team would win their game before a ball has even been kicked. It sends the simple message that you have to focus on your own game and nothing else matters. If Liverpool score first in the tenth minute and go top 'as it stands' players like de Bruyne are not going to start panicking and giving the ball away. They'll still have 70% of the ball at home just like every other time.

I’m not worried about De Bruyne, more like one of their Airheaded defenders just falling over or that overrated ink blot headed keeper juggling the ball along his goal line.

They SHOULD be fine. They SHOULD win fairly comfortably… but they are prone to errors and sloppiness. Do it Sunday and there’s no recovery. Can picture them all looking dumbfounded after a 2-2 draw wondering how it go away from them.

Anyway, don’t wanna curtail the thread further.

Back to Forest….how did Garner do? Some of the comments on here seem to suggest it was passing him by.

Not particularly worried which is unlike me.

Think city will pump Villa. The media, Liverpool pundits and over anxious united fans seem to be the ones talking up liverpool’s chances.

If Liverpool do win then city will end up with nothing this season - a horrifically poor return from their investment, team and manager. They’ll recover (Haaland etc) but it will be a proper kick in the balls.

They’ll win. Easily.

Winds me up this, it's absolutely nonsense....

People vary their penalties, people change their style under pressure....

Some players will have been subbed, some might not play...

If you were to dive the same way as the last penalty they took you wouldn't guarantee saving 30% of them

How is the lad that got butted? Did he escape without any major issues or was it a bad one?

There’s a video on Twitter of Oli McBurnie stamping on a forest fan apparently.
