In the mid 2000s you'd roll up to watch the game knowing that he'd be the best player on the pitch. Consistently brilliant. The second best United player of my lifetime.

What a proper rivalry looks like

Wonder what a prime Keane would be worth nowadays?

Gotta be £120m plus...

Anyone who says otherwise is really trying too hard.

Makes you think that’s a good height for a midfielder.

My all time favourite player. Keane was a £#%&!ing warrior, a psycho. You'd get goosebumps just watching him in the tunnel, didn't matter who the opposition was, he was there to win.

A lot of you probably didn't hear the full interview he done with RTE after he left the Irish World Cup squad in 2002, he berated his teammates and manager who were there to have a laugh and would have been happy to get out of the group stages, fans too who were only out there to sing a few songs.

"You can laugh at me but I was there to win the world cup, the opposition wasn't up to much that year, there was no reason at all if we played our best and were completely focussed we could have made at least the semi-finals".

Roy Keane wanting and *believing Ireland could win the world cup! What a £#%&!ing player. You'll never get that mindset and attitude from todays generation.

*Saying that he was a little bit mental at times.

Love seeing Roy get the respect he deserves off all these top players. Rightly so.

Reminded me of this....

Disgusts me that he's not employed by the club somehow.

He's an absolute Don.

Pretty sure Ronaldo was asking him why he wasn't at the club when he went over to pay respects.

Ronaldo knows what's up
