I was thinking it is a bit concerning if true, but I also think getting the squad on board is probably the biggest challenge he has. I think there are a number of players in the current squad who can easily be a success under Ten Hag, but it will depend on whether they buy in.
Having a few players who can vouch for his training methods and who won't be upset when they have to do slightly longer sessions might be a good thing. If De Jong, Anthony, Eriksen and others turn up on August 31st with an enthusiasm to get back to working with Ten Hag, it may be just what we need to get the season back on track. |
