Nothing player. Didn’t even stand out in a team of kids. This is the worry when you’re buying players from Eredivise…

He did look good for Ajax, he seems so weak though, physically he’s not up to it. Haggers sees him as a 10 and no chance she gets in ahead of Bruno or Eriksen. Why not offer him back to Ajax with money for Antony?

It's only his third season you must give him time to adjust...

If you watch his Ajax highlights, other than someone for others to bounce the ball off and an impressive timing when arriving in the box and ability to finish, he’s rarely involved. Can see him warming the bench a lot this season.

I’m don’t understand players being too weak for the premier league.

Steroid Steve down my gym could have them carrying carpets in no time.

He’s not going to get any games this season again. He’s hiding

If he could nail a decent goal celebration for when he knocks one in a league cup tie, he could very much fill the void of running around not doing very much left by lingard

Desperate to see something from him, but when you're the most anonymous player on the pitch in a team full of kids it's concerning.

Just don't get it

Oh you will ....

Currently playing Erik's mouthpiece for the youngsters....

If you watched today he was constantly talking, improving, running off the ball and encouraging the young lads to pivotal press, if you're not sure if he will play much this season I'd look towards his 20+ goals with his mates and boss around him at Ajax, the ones we've signed, signing....

He's part of Erik's system, it's undeniable ..

It's very English not to understand the movement of Donny as a full 10, at times a striker....

If things click and he's es finding space just off the defenders, it'll be a dangerous thing...

Huge season ahead....

Whipped a lovely corner too....

Your clutching pal....

He's £#%&!ing dire.

If he can't turn it in against a pub team from Ramsey Street, he ain't gonna last long (again).

It just might take time. He was £#%&!ed over by Ole big time. Looked decent (occasionally) but then was dropped/subbed. Constantly.

Let’s see what he can do in a ten hag system - if he’s still shite then there is no hope.

Not a great comparison but Andy Cole was dire at united when he first came for about a season. And was prem experienced playing in one of the best teams evoh. Donny’s played in the most dysfunctional toxic down tools united side I’ve ever seen and an Everton side a whisker away from relegation.

Let’s give him a chance.

I like the lad and really hope that he rediscovers his Ajax form, but it's looking far from promising isn't it.
Just watched the full game from earlier today and apart from a couple of nice touches he was bobbins again.

Just checked the laws of physics and it’s actually impossible for him to be worse than either of McFred
