Weekend Hussler

Default Lisandro Martínez

Another one of ETH's boys we've been linked with

Was supposed to be going to Barca.

We don't have a great record with Argie defenders

Arsenal have had a £25m bid turned down and they (and us) have been told £42m gets him.

£40m bid imminent apparently.

Wonder if we fancy him in midfield or at CB.

Here he is in the middle vs Chelsea

Surely too small for CB

I would’ve said so, especially in the PL.

Would be incredible if we got Timber and Antony as well, then VdS rocked up mid season

I think signings beyond Frenkie, Eriksen, Malacia and Martinez will depend on sales.

We sadly wont be getting Antony this summer if Martinez comes. Ajax already lost Gravenberch, Mazraoui and Haller plus Martinez about to jet.

I think we need some kind of forward. All the noises were that this is the priority after midfield,

We’ve got to replace Greenwood and Cavani, we’ll deffo sign a forward imo.

Hope you boys are right, perhaps the budget is bigger than it looks.

They’re still looking to shift a fair few..

AWB, Dalot, Telles, Shaw, Bailly, Jonah, Lindelof(?), Tuanzebe, Levitt, Galbraith, Chong, Martial.. probably others I’ve forgotten. That’s another £1m off the wage bill if they manage it.

It’s a season or so too soon for Hannibal and Garnacho imo.

Talk seems to be around £120-£150m

£55m Dongers
£15m Jeans
£40m Martinez

£110m

Surely a £30m-£50m shot if we can dump Perrera and some other clown.

Edit: didn’t realise this bastard played centre mid too 👍

The deals are all structured in instalments, so in theory, of £120m, we’ve committed to about £20m for FDJ and Malacia. Based on that, there’s flexibility.

The more the wage budget is reduced, the more flexibility.

That’s my understanding anyway.

Surely not in the case of de Jong? Barcelona need the cash now I'd have thought?
