Argentina gonna get out of jail here as Mexico won't score a goal all world cup. They won't be so lucky vs lewandowski.

Sorry - you're right. I should be more incisive & nuanced in my thoughts .. like thinking the mighty managerial geniuses of Giggsy or Chris Coleman as manager would have salvaged Wales' World Cup campaign ..

It’s like the pundits and commentators share the same mind.

Yesterday it was a given that Foden should have started or at least come of the bench because he’s “England’s most talented player” .. or so it was decided yesterday.

Today it’s Messi’s attitude and demeanour. Apparently he can’t be arsed.

1. is correct (perhaps not most talented, but should play) . 2. is because he is a 35 & 1/2 year old shadow of the agile player he once was.

For all his recent shortcomings, the bruised strawberry aged better than Messi has.

McCalister is a decent player. Won't be at Brighton long.

1. Maybe/probably.. but it was a bit strange how they all started singing from the same hymn sheet despite giving it very little mention before the game.

2. His age is what they probably should have mentioned. His attitude seems fine.. compared to the Ronaldo hissy fits of the last 12 months.

Messi has done well in Paris this season but imo that’s because the French league suits a slower/older player. Ronaldo would probably look like his old self in that league.

This is shite though. No idea how these lot are one of the favourites.

Boom. Don't need the yard of pace when you can hit them like that.
