Either way, there was genuine reason for United fans to despise england 20 odd years ago at the height of ABU ism.

Nowadays it's usually posturing fans in their 20s who do it because they want to look edgy and cool.

If david beckham can get over it, i'm sure i can.

That incident amongst others shaped my view of the national team. Is what it is.

Hope the United players do well and all the Liverpool players get seriously injured. Will enjoy the booze ups if England go deep. Hoping Ronaldo bags another major honour tbh.

Good set of choices that, Bunks, and have supported the same in many a previous tournament myself.

Would love to see a Dutch resurgence, as haven't properly supported them since about '98. Their games against Argentina and Brazil at that World Cup.

And have always had a soft spot for the Portuguese. Don't think I've gooned harder at international level than when they dumped England out in 2006.

Because i'm half-Spanish not because i'm a try hard United fan.

Seeing Ireland didn't make it have to support Spain for my family but they're an almighty pain in the arse. And so are Spain.

Relatively at peace with the prospect of England doing all right compared to some other times. There's no really hateful #@&%!s like Terry or Gerard any more.
