The likes of Maicon and Alves might. Not many others.

Clichy - 1 in his career
Lahm - 4 last season. The 3 seasons prior to this he has managed 2 in total.
Cole - 2 goals in 4 years.
Abidal - Don't think he has ever scored.

Evra should be scoring more, but 6? £#%&! off

Maicon has 9 over 3 years at inter.

Alves is a little more prolific. But he's never got more than 5 in a season, and he takes a large percentage of free kicks. He doesn't average 5 either.

I checked on Bobby Carlos & Cafu as well, Carlos got 9 in his best seasons (twice), Cafu 1 a season. Again, Carlos was on free kick duty.

Even Irwin who took free kicks & penalties for us only managed 5 in his best season.

What a ridiculous made up target to prove no kind of point.

Irwin got 5 in a season once. He averaged about 2 a year though.

Are you saying Cafu was shit? For example. Due to his inability to get 5 goals a season? I'm pretty sure that's what you are saying, but if you could clarify that would be nice. Ta.

Ronaldo clearly had the beating of Pique in that final, but what could he do with no supply from midfield?

we have been very succesful with carrick in our team, he annoyed me a lot in rome as i felt he went missing but he wasnt the only one. hes hitting an age where now he should be playing at the peak of his career. playing with ronaldo in a 442 our centre mids were generally forced to hold a deep central position and were not giving too much license to get in the box time after time. hopefully now as a more orthodox 442 we can have somebody breaking from the middle and carrick can chip in with a few more goals

same here. more orthodox and i can see him stepping onto quite a few pull backs and getting into double figures. he's certainly good enough to do it anyway so...
