We are really really in big trouble.

We need to keep our cool. There’s games there for us that we should be comfortably getting the points we need. What we can’t afford to do is miss chances, let teams run through us and concede 98th minute penalties.

Our carelessness has put pressure on us. Should have beaten spurs and should have got a point the other night. Before that Spurs game, we were 9 ahead of them with a game in hand. We’ve lost a 5 point cushion in 10 days by being dumb bastards.

Their away form remains patchy, but they’ve got two very favourable fixtures - Leicester and Southampton.

Villa at home ….who have just lost back to back games.

We have to assume they’ll win their games. 3 wins from us takes them out the equation. We’ve still no excuses from this position.

You say that like they’ll turn it around. They won’t. They’ve been wishy washy since February. They won’t beat West Ham and that will put them under unbelievable pressure to beat wolves who are safe now.

Drop any points at old Trafford and it’s done.

Finishing 5th will be absolutely disastrous. You can forget about any significant improvements in the summer.

And it would be so Inkeeping with the themes of the season if Fulham turn up at ours last game with Mitrovic and cost us champions league football. Because apparently everyone gets their chance these days to kick dirt in our eye.

If we can’t do that we don’t deserve top 4

We don’t NEED to beat West Ham, although it would be nice.

They don’t really need to turn anything around. If we show the same form from the last five games in the next five games, then we get top four.

We are stupid and careless and that will always cost us results. If we needed to win all five, I wouldn’t be confident for that very reason. Generally, our consistenty has been good. We just need to keep doing what we’ve been doing in 5 game spells.

A positive feature of this team is that it reacts well to defeats. We need to do the same tomorrow.
