Exclamation Great players who seemingly turned to shit overnight

Is Sanchez the best example of this?

Torres had a pretty drastic decline.

Yorke and Cole? - Treble to Blackburn within 2 years.

Pretty unfair to the latter especially, he did very well there.

Shevchenko had some decline. One of the the few that is probably comparable.

Torres is a notable one because it happened well before the age of 30.

I remember Batistuta won Roma the Scudetto and then went pretty much to shit the next season.

Cech.

Bang on the head and he went from the best in the world to average.

Denilson looked a world beater before he signed for betis.

Yeah it wasn't a weird one, just quite a stark drop. Almost like once he finally got that title it was over.

Still worth the money from Roma's pov.

Nothing strange about that one tbf, once he retired he was close to having his legs amputated they were in that bad a state. Almeyda talked in his book about the drug cocktails they would have to drink pre-match, surprised there haven't been more deaths as a result tbh. Haven't the All-Blacks had a few keel over? ?

Yep his ankles were ruined.

It was just memorable because it was almost overnight. Star striker in the league and could barely move the next season.

Of course Inter took him after that.

Never really wanted to go to Chelsea and the then manager (whose name now escapes me for some strange reason) didn't want him either. It was totally an Abramovich ego project.
