Default Travel money and general travel things

Thought it'd be good to share Fred knowledge for the holiday season

To kick off where's the best place, and possibly time to get currency changed

I'm looking specifically at euros and Swiss Francs for mine? Usually do post office but if anyone knows better?

Is the correct answer. Just make sure you have more than one card though, some country's atm's are a bit funny with Visa for some reason, Holland and Denmark in my experience. Also ring the bank tot tell them you are going, they put a stop on mine in Thailand and it cost me about 10 million baht ringing England to get them to authorise it....nothing better than sitting on hold for 10 minutes on a long distance call

Another good shout.

Think the post office do them, just no point in traveller cheques or big lumps of cash in a plastic wallet. It's easier to control your cash via ATM
