i'm going to hold off predicting how we are going to do until i see us playing this long ball football that supposedly moyes will be having us play, perhaps after the tour has finished or maybe when the premiership starts.

I have confidence in Moyes. He'll definitely sign two midfielders as well.

Thumbs down

Not good enough to win anything. Not shit enough to get the sack. The worst outcome of all.

This.

Can see Chelsea winning this year and Arsenal having a good season. It'll be us and City next with Spurs doing their traditional fall at the final hurdle.

It's going to be a tough year. I just want us to play well and have a vision to rebuild - don't expect to win everything every year - but if Zaha and Nani can get given the chances on the wings and Kaggers/RVP through the middle, then we really only need to stay injury free and get a zesty midfielder and we'll be not too far off..

A distant third behind Chelsea and City, at least fifteen points or so. First or second round exit from the CL, %@#$&!s to the FA and Coca Cola Cup. Moyes won't last three full seasons.

United should be expected to win and score as much as they have been doing for the past 20 years. In fact, United should be expected to play better football than they have been doing the past two seasons. United should be expected to reacquire the brilliance of being able to dominate big European teams. The Barcelona of two years ago, and the Bayern of now should be our targets.

We're looking more and more like we're lagging behind, though; we really need to get our act together in the transfer market, it's nearly the end of July FFS. Ideally, with a new manager coming in, we should have sought to maximise the pre-season time Moyes had with the squad: by the end of the pre-season, he should be expected to know his First XI, know the tactics he wants to follow, know players' weaknesses, etc. But it's looking more and more like he won't be this prepared by then.
