City are obviously pricing them low because demand is low. Unforunately United seemed to have stopped doing that. We've done it post Glazer takeover but it seems to have stopped in the last couple of years.
In English competitions the opposing club have to agree to the price cut. Most don't because they're also greedy and know that 60k at £50 is better than 75k at £20. They don't care if the stadium is full or not. United do give a £#%&! load of tickets away for shit matches like Burton. They do it through schools and local sports clubs. If you're affiliated with either you can just call them up, state your credentials and they'll print as many as you want near enough. |

Our ticket prices are generally ok? Obviously the cheaper the better. There's absolutely nothing wrong with cheaper tickets, but it's not like they're doing it for altruistic reasons and should be applauded . They're not trying to bring football to the masses, they're trying to get bums on seats because it looks £#%&!ing embarassing when you're playing Barcelona and can't fill the stadium. |
