Not for me, spent more seasons in the championship and league one than he has in the Premier league. Don't really know where we're going with that tbh.

£8m is a bargain if the player is worth more, if the player is worth £1m, £8m is a rip off..

£8m for a bit of cover at the back isn't bad business.

We've been caught out many times with injuries back there.

A 32 year old who's spent most of his career playing in the championship/league 1 is a "bargain" at £8m?

Really?

Is he £#%&!, he's cack, started the euros behind a 43 year old Carvalho.

Hopefully won't get a look in anyway if Smalling and Eric stay fit.

He's been a good player for Soton in the Prem over the last few seasons. Lovren went for 20m and Fonte is the better player imo. Ok age is an issue but with the money being thrown about these days I think he's worth more than 8m.

Lovren might be a big £#%&!ing warning sign about Southampton CBs.

I also remember Schneiderlin becoming a hipster favourite down there.

From what I've seen Fonte is miles off United quality.

really? from what i've seen he's just been part of the cup of nations winning team and looks a mourinho player to me. suspect he'd be happy to be a squad man at united to start with and take his chances as well...

That's what i'm worried about. They've had Liverpool's pants down for players from Southampton in recent seasons.

If that £#%&!ing non-entity Schneiderlin is anything to go by, steer clear.

that's a bit of a leap just from me saying he looks a mourinho player...

what he needs is a decent squad player who would be delighted to sign for united and take his chances if either of blind or baily are out.

i doubt you even see the comedy of your snide btw but its saturday night so cba to go there
