I'm
not one of those who think it is cool to hate England.
However......... What an uninspiring load of toss. No sparkle, nothing. As for Ross Barkley - everything wrong with English football. Why? The Cult of Personality. Instead of us being a team game, we build up potential superheroes (Rooney, Gerrard, Gazza and so on) and then act surprised when Germany beat us. Now Barkley may become a great player and may be a smashing bloke - but we need more Butts and Scholes, team players who kept their heads down than we need Herculean Superherores to save the day with 40 yard rockets. |

with joe hart on the pitch you've always got to assume at least 1 is going to go in at some point. difficult to see england scoring at all after that half. if they do it'll be from a scabby set piece.
