Mourinho demands unswerving loyalty and complete support in everything he does from his backroom team, and is uncomfortable about welcoming someone who has been...

Jose, football's answer to a gunslinging Clint Eastwood character.

Swaggers into town, heads to the nearest saloon, identifies the local troublemakers and cleans house.

What was it Fergie used to say?

The manager needs to have total control, nobody can be bigger than the manager...

Chooses his successor and tells him who his asst manager will be.

Van Gaal should've £#%&!ed Giggs right off at the negotiation stage, it's a clear conflict of interest to have someone earmarked for your job as your asst.

Totally. More weak man management evidence from small balls van gaal. Think a lot of van Gaals comments re Paul Scholes towards the end were basically bullets at Giggs.

Didn't matter for van gaal at his age. He wanted a few years in England and to top up his pension.

This shows mourinho wants to be in it for the long term.
