Mata is too slow and Blind is a jack of all trades, master of none.

Neither will be missed but I'm surprised he's not keeping Blind as backup. He can't be on that much money and whilst he's an awful centre back his versatility is an asset to the club. Dutch Phil Neville.

Blind is an absolute class act and would fit in at Barca, but he's probably not physical enough for the holding role or full-back position for Mourinho. And he'd obviously never want anybody shorter than 6" at CB, no matter how good on the ball.

Ditto. Would make no sense whatsoever. Perfectly adequate CB (given that he played there all season and mostly did very well), or a potential carrick replacement given his on the ball temperament and range of passing.

We went through all of this with lvg. José is going to sell players we don't want him to and keep players we want sold.

I don't want to see Blind go either, but it wouldn't surprise me if it's true.
