Default Eddie Howe

Media are building him up as the next big thing in English Football management. Will they ever learn?

Paul Jewell, Aidy Boothroyd, Owen Coyle etc.etc

Interestingly...

"The 37-year-old models his style of play on Brendan Rodgers. A few years ago Rodgers, then in charge of Swansea, gave a talk at St George's Park and Howe waited around afterwards to ask if he could visit the club. Rodgers obliged and Howe spent two days observing there. One afternoon they simply sat talking football for five hours."

Why not? Because he suckered Brenton into telling him everything about Anfield to secure the £1m a year job when they get rid of the Northern Irish mug?

His team play great football and will be a much valued addition to the varied cornucopia that is the Premier League and no large error.

How dare you - you corpulent, negative balloon.

Reads like a Gary Linekar tweet.

Heard it all before - he'll go straight back down, start the the next season poorly, get sacked and spend the rest of his career floating around with teams like Coventry, Huddersfield and MK Dons, making the odd appearance on Goals on Sunday to reminisce about his glory days rubbing shoulders with the big boys.

It's possible they'll whoosh back down in one season - on reflection.

He hasn't been there the whole time though has he? Didn't he £#%&! up somewhere bigger and just go straight back?

Burnley?

I'm not sure though. It could well have been a dream.

Come on folks... He's done an excellent job. Cut him some slack.

IIRC he left Burnley for family reasons.

I note with interest that Harry Redknapp said recently he was the most successful manager of Bournemouth (some accolade) but Eddie has usurped him.
