Loan.
That's what I think too, if we sacked him off for good he would probably do really well elsewhere. And as already said, no excuse for selling him as long as is still here.

Will be remembered for his cameo at home to Everton.

Sensible, hope he has a magnificent season & we have a decision to make.

Him staying & getting a few cup mins is beyond pointless under the current circumstances.

I've just realised though, it does mean that Lindelof and Bailly are the main backups. I imagine Mengi will also head out on loan.

It's a good decision. He's a very talented young defender. Starting regularly in the PL at a solid club for a year on loan and growing in confidence and stature will do him a lot of good.

Hope he has a belting season and we can sell the calamity that is Bailly to make space for him next year.

He's not guaranteed to get into their team tbf. So will be interesting to see of he becomes first choice.

Good club Villa - glad he has joined them for a third time of asking.

Better choice than Newcastle ffs.

2 good backups. No idea what point you’re making

This. villa have a well established decent pairing at the back, can't see him playing much unless one of the current two get injured.

He should see it as a challenge, and tbf I don't think that side of him is lacking.

You'd imagine Mings would get sent off at some point for violent conduct so a 3 game run sometime early would be handy.

Lindelof might not be the answer as first choice, but he’ll be one of the best back up options around.

Pointless loan. He’ll sit on the bench all season. Shambles

He’ll get more time than he would here I suppose but the bottom is is he’ll never make it at United, that’s pretty clear to see to anyone who isn’t obsessed with youth players making it.
