He reeks of mid table la Liga team these days. The best we've seen him was under LVG playing possession based football, Ole clearly doesn't care for that style so we really should get rid. Could probably get 30m for him and shift him onto Valencia/Sevilla but as you said, he probably wants an increase in wage and we are one of about 5 clubs in the world who can do that

30 million ? you realise hes out of contract

Hardly bad news. Considering Young is considered the only senior pro left someone with a sound head onboard wouldn't be the worst idea.

Same thing that happened with Fellaini's contract renewal, even without a transfer fee involved no other club was interested in matching the package we offered him. An embarrassment that the club are willing to keep players no-one wants on wages no-one will pay, just to save a fee on a replacement.

Don't get the hate tbh. Good player and excellent pro; the one guy who was actually performing in those shit final weeks of the season.

Has limitations but he'd be useful in most proper football teams.

Think it might have something to do with the fact he is painfully slow and slows down an already statuesque attack further. In addition, despite being available on a free no other club wants him while the only reason the club are offering him a renewal is that they are too cheap to buy a replacement.

Id keep him as a squad player tbh.
