If Rooney goes then he will go to Chelsea and score 40 goals a season and make them @#%&!s champions.

LVG should just bench him for a couple of seasons.

He wouldn't score 40 a season ffs!

He'd start the season well, scoring the odd free kick etc, the media will tell us all how Wayne is world class and up there with Ronaldo and Messi...

Then by the new year he'd be £#%&!ed, score the odd good goal but wouldn't really do them as a team any favours on the whole.

He's getting worse, looks slow, unfit and has lost the spark he had a few years ago.

Could LVG get the best out of him? Who knows. IF Wayne bought into the LVG way then I think he could get a few more years at the top, sadly though Rooney doesn't seem to take well to being told what to do and how to do it. He'll retire at about 33 and he'll go down as a very good player.... He could have been one of the best IMO.

Playing up top, and on his game he would get 40 a season.

He's in the top 10 strikers in the world easily.

He's much maligned, we all know the reasons. Seems to make it easy to call him shit, he far from it.

it.
What's previously prevented this from happening?

But if course if he signed for Chelsea - famed for their free flowing attacking football - he would bag 40 goals
