I wonder if that is because everything he has ever said and done post-United has been controlled by his PR team. Never took a position in his life that wasn't vetted by his team. Good to see his image take a pounding. That whole desert island discs nonsense - "I didn’t watch Manchester United for three years. I would never have left." - was just another example of the spin.
