Why would you want to forget that? I enjoyed that more than some of our title wins.

You don't want to forget it, but I find it quite scouse / bertie to have to revel in other teams misfortunes from years ago because we don't have anything to feel proud of ourselves.

Now, had city lost yesterday I would be revelling in it too, but this slip is two years ago...

Makes the 3-0 loss to Spurs a little more bearable.

And the rest of this season too.

It *is* utterly fab, tbf. Makes even May 2012 that shade more bearable

It's £#%&!ing wonderful.

One of the great footballing stories. Moyes sacked and the curse was lifted, it should be made into a film.

Almost perfect. The only thing that has ever bothered me about it is people focus on the slip and forget it was his bad touch which caused the slip. Much like JT slipping during his penalty was caused by his poor technique.

I've always said he would have missed that regardless of the slip

Smashing thread.

Absolutely love how it was so near, so far for good old stevie.

Surprised he hasn't somehow made it all Sakho's fault and gone full finkle and einhorn.

Not only the build up to the slip but the aftermath is £#%&!ing fantastic, especially when you consider the bloke who got the result is due to become our new manager.

...and then there's that Monday night and the GIF that keeps on giving.

Wonderful month.

Don't forget it was the 25th anniversary of Hillsborough too. In those final weeks I had this horrific image of Margaret Aspinall with her ugly shitty hands on the premier league trophy.

OO AR DEMBA BA.

Can someone post the league table on the morning of the Slippy G game? They were so close it's hilarious.

5 points clear or something daft like that... That was the absolute ray of light in a far, dark season.

1. Liverpool Pld 35 Pts 80
2. Chelsea Pld 35 Pts 75
3. Man City Pld 34 Pts 74
The equation was simple - Liverpool needed seven points from their last three games against Chelsea, Crystal Palace and Newcastle United to secure the title.
