no midfield options on the bench.

Look this is going to be a painful result, could easily get worse but the circumstances of the game have went perfectly to plan for City. Defend well, grab a goal and then hit Utd on the counter. The sending off killed Utd.

Fair enough, they've deserved the win. Not sure it would have been 3 or whatever it turns out if it was 11 a side but sometimes you just have to hold your hands up.

I hope they get 5 tbh, perhaps that will shake the manager and owners out of their apparent complacency.

yep. the sending off has £#%&!ed us, we either chase the game and leave them with a man over at every attack or we drop back and there's no chance of salvaging anything. not that that's going to happen now.

But that's exactly what they wanted - they had once chance in the first half and took it, whilst United huffed, puffed, chucked aimless crosses in and didn't test Hart £#%&!ing once.

And the sending off came about from city's dangerous attack, it wasn't like an elbow in the middle of the park. They'd have scored if Evans hadn't pulled him down.

Nasri for Aguero.

Quick, get Park on Ferie! That'll show them.

I know it used to be a bit of a running joke. 'We should play Rooney in midfield' even though we had better players.

but i never really thought it would become a reality.
